“Sundays was a family-orientated day, with earlier performances so people could bring their children to come and watch. It usually would start between 3 o’ clock and 4 o’ clock and end at 9 o’ clock – a reasonable hour. And then on Tuesday it was ‘Ladies Free’. Those were the nights that you’d make sure you never miss, because you never know who you are gonna bump into. And then Friday was more or less like a current affairs night. It was the night where he talked about the politics of the day. It used to be called Yabis night.” – Dele Sosimi
